The UniFi G3 Intercom isn't a standalone product bolted onto your system. It lives in the same UniFi portal as your cameras and access readers — one interface, one login, one place to see everything.

Phone Notifications

When a visitor presses the call button, your phone gets a push notification with live video. Answer from anywhere — same as a phone call, but with video and door control built in.

Two-Way Audio & Video

Full-duplex audio and video between the intercom and your phone. See the visitor clearly. Have a real conversation. Decide whether to let them in — no awkward one-way shouting.

Remote Door Unlock

Tap unlock in the app and the door opens. Works with UniFi Access door controllers — no second system, no additional hardware needed if you already have UniFi Access installed.

NFC & QR Code Entry

UniFi Access Intercom Platform

Alpine IT installs UniFi Access intercom hardware as part of the same ecosystem as cameras and access control. Everything integrates natively — no third-party bridges or separate apps.

UA G3 Intercom

The primary intercom unit. 5MP wide-angle camera, two-way audio, NFC reader, QR code scanner, and a physical call button. PoE-powered. Mounts flush to wall or on a single-gang box.

UA Hub

The door controller that connects the intercom to your door lock. Manages the relay output that triggers the electric strike or magnetic lock when someone unlocks remotely.

UA Pro (Reader)

For locations where you want both intercom call capability and a dedicated NFC/face-unlock reader at the same entry. Combines intercom and access reader in a single unit.

UA Elevator / Interior Station

Interior intercom stations for multi-tenant buildings where tenants need to receive calls inside their unit and buzz visitors in from their own space.

Can I answer the intercom from my phone?
Yes. The UniFi Access G3 Intercom pushes a notification to your phone when someone presses the call button. You can see live video, talk two-way, and unlock the door — from anywhere with an internet connection.
Does the intercom integrate with my cameras?
Yes. Because Alpine IT builds everything on the UniFi platform, your intercom and cameras share the same portal. Intercom call events are logged alongside camera footage, so you have a complete record of who came to the door and when.
Can the intercom unlock a door?
Yes. The UniFi Access G3 Intercom integrates with UniFi Access door locks, allowing you to remotely unlock a door directly from the intercom call on your phone. No separate app or system required.
Do I need access control already installed?
No. Alpine IT can install intercom systems as a standalone service — the intercom functions as a camera and call device even without a connected door lock. If you later want to add door control, we can integrate it at that point. Many clients start with just the intercom and add access readers over time.
Is the intercom weatherproof?
Yes. The UniFi Access G3 Intercom is rated for outdoor installation and is designed to handle Colorado weather including heat, cold, and precipitation.
